Moisture-resistant board, also known as melamine board (base material), incorporates a certain proportion of moisture-resistant particles during the production process, significantly reducing its swelling rate when exposed to water. Reputable board manufacturers typically mark moisture-resistant boards clearly to distinguish them from ordinary boards.
When using moisture-resistant board furniture, avoid scratching, rubbing, and subjecting it to heavy impacts with sharp objects. If it gets wet, clean and dry it promptly. While moisture-resistant boards do expand slightly when wet, prolonged exposure to moisture can still cause swelling and deformation. Furthermore, any peeling edge banding should be repaired immediately to prevent moisture damage.
